The Minarets and Mt Ritter and Banner Peak dominate the landscape from Minaret Vista near Mammoth Lakes, California. Located in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, this vast abstract of scenic wildlands was named for the preeminent landscape photographer of the 20th century Ansel Adams. The greatest contribution was as a conservationist, using his photographs to demonstrate the need to preserve the remaining wilderness.
